Sustainability Plan

What is a Sustainability Plan?

The sustainability plan is one of the main means through which companies express their commitment to integrating sustainability into its business. It represents not just a declaration of intent, but also an assumption of responsibility that highlights new opportunities for growth, aligning its operations with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Why should companies do a Sustainability Plan?

If your company is committed to kick off a sustainability and Net Zero strategy, then a Sustainability Plan is the “square one” of this journey. It allows you to thoroughly analyse your current positioning, strengths and weaknesses and consequently pin down key short and long term objectives.

Sustainability Report

What is a Sustainability Report?

A sustainability report is a publication by companies detailing the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impacts of their activities. It helps stakeholders understand these impacts and assess associated risks and opportunities. The CSRD established standardised sustainability reporting requirements across the EU. Reporting software such as the one developed by GFP facilitate the consolidation of data and the monitoring of results over time.

Why should companies do a Sustainability Report?

Starting from the reporting of the 2025 financial year, the Sustainability Report has become mandatory for all EU companies that meet at least 2 of the following requirements: more than 250 employees, a net turnover of over € 50 m and over € 25 m in assets. The range will extend to more companies from 2025 and even when on a voluntary basis, it will become a decisive element for smaller companies involved in the value chain.
